RAJPUT MAHARANI , Dance school e compagnia di Danza fondata da Maya Devi,  è la prima scuola di danza Italiana che propone corsi di Danze gipsy del Rajasthan: Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, Naga Dance, Sapera, Indian Peacock dance.
Inoltre propone altri stili di danze indiane:La sensuale  Odissi, La sacra Devadasi, la divertente ed effervescente BOLLYWOOD DANCE!

Rajput Maharani ha sede a Milano  presso l'associazione MUDRARTE ma organizza corsi e stage in tutta Italia e Estero.
Rajput Maharani è specializzata nelle danze del Rajasthan e propone il CORSO PROFESSIONALE di RAJASTHANI DANCE e KALBELIYA per poter apprendere e successivamente insegnare queste danze nomadi.Il corso professionale rilascia il Diploma riconosciuto da CSEN/CONI.

La compagnia RAJPUT MAHARANI si esibisce in spettacoli, eventi culturali, vernissage ed inaugurazioni e anche per feste private.

Maya Devi  è Danzatrice  ed Insegnante di Danza e Yoga,  MEMBRO del CID-International Dance Council. E'la prima e attualmente  l'unica danzatrice  italiana di Danze gipsy del Rajasthan e Kalbeliya che ha appreso durante i suoi soggiorni in India da Sua Devi e Gulabo Sapera studiando nei villaggi nomadi degli incantatori di serpenti nel deserto dei Thar in Rajasthan.

La Danza  è un gioiello della cultura indiana,  momento di trasporto oltre i tempi, attraverso i racconti poetici che il danzatore ci svela man mano, dove i gesti, la teatralità e la danza sono un tutt’uno in questa millenaria arte.  Una sorta di preghiera in movimento, raffigura il gioco degli dei e la loro interazione con il mondo umano. Un’arte  in cui la danza è la chiave di lettura che comprende il teatro, la musica, la poesia, il colore e il ritmo e il cui messaggio è diretto non semplicemente ai sensi percettivi, ma sopratutto all'animo interiore sia del danzatore che dello spettatore.

Come danzatrice e membro di CID insegna ed organizza stage in tutta  Italia ed Estero e prende parte ai congressi internazionali del CID UNESCO.

Rajasthan's Kalbeliya dance and songs got UNESCO recognition

Rajasthan's Kalbelia dance and songs is now in UNESCO’s representative list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This annual list of UNESCO emphasizes on endangered performing art forms, so that the artists might get global support in terms of financial assistance, training and good infrastructure to preserve them. Three Indian forms of performing arts, Mudiyettu, Chhau and Kalbelia, have found pride of place in the UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The annual list of UNESCO focuses on performing arts, which are outstanding but need support to sustain further.
The Kalbelia dance is performed by the snake charmers of Rajasthan, which has also failed to find patrons from within the country, as a result of which not many people take it up as a profession. The Chhau dance form is done with the help of crafted masks and mock combat movements. This dance form is popular in the Indian states of Orissa, Jharkhand and West Bengal. It was only after a survey conducted by the Sangeet Natak Akademi that it was found that these precious art forms were dying a slow death in absence of any financial support.
After their inclusion in the UNESCO list, it has become mandatory for all the 132 countries supporting UN to ensure that legal and financial measures are taken to restore these performing arts back to their honorable status. UNESCO would also ensure international cooperation and support in the form of studies, experts, training and infrastructure-creation UNESCO got 54 nominations this year for the Representative list. All the three nominations from India were recommended by UNESCO. The Inter governmental Committee for Safeguarding of the Intangible cultural Heritage of UNESCO, in its 5th session in Nairobi has accepted these three recommendations.
